We need Your Voice, Your Presence, and Your Partnership
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to encourage each of you to become actively involved in our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). Our school is more than a building where students learn—it is a community, and the strength of that community depends on the partnership between our families, teachers, staff, and school leaders.
Every parent wants the best for their child. One of the most meaningful ways to help create that positive experience is by participating in the PTO. Whether you can volunteer regularly, attend meetings occasionally, assist with events, or simply share ideas, your involvement makes a difference. When families are engaged, students benefit academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our PTO plays a critical role in supporting school programs, organizing events, recognizing staff, and helping create opportunities that enrich the educational experience for all students. However, these efforts can only be successful when we have active participation from our families. A small group of dedicated individuals cannot carry the responsibility alone. It takes all of us working together to build the school community our children deserve.
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we are seeking parents and community members who are willing to step into leadership roles within our PTO. We currently have open positions for:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Parliamentarian
These positions provide an opportunity to help shape the direction of our PTO and make a lasting impact on the experiences of our students, families, and staff.
We often hear great ideas about what our school needs and how we can improve. Now is the opportunity to turn those ideas into action. If you are interested in making a difference and being part of the solution, rather than simply discussing what needs to happen, I encourage you to get involved.
For everyone interested in serving in one of these positions or learning more about the PTO, please email me at drodgers@empoweral.org.
We understand that everyone has busy schedules and competing responsibilities. Participation does not require a large commitment of time. What matters most is a willingness to contribute in whatever way you can. Every volunteer, every idea, and every helping hand adds value.
As we move forward, I challenge each family to find at least one way to become involved this school year. Your presence sends a powerful message to your child that their education matters and that their school community is important.
Together, we can create memorable experiences, strengthen our school culture, and provide additional opportunities for our students to thrive. We need your voice, your support, and your partnership.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our students and our school. I look forward to hearing from those who are ready to help lead, serve, and make a positive impact.
Sincerely,
Demarcus Rodgers
