Dear Empower Families,

It is with deep regret that we share that the B.R.E.A.D. 21st Century Afterschool Program will end due to the State of Alabama not renewing grant funding. The final day of program operations will be June 30, 2026.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve our students and families over the last three years through academic support, enrichment, and afterschool care.

At this time, Empower Community School will not offer an afterschool program beyond June 30, 2026. We understand the importance of aftercare for many families, and we wanted to provide parents with plenty of time to make after care arrangements for the 2026–2027 school year.

As additional community resources and off-campus after school opportunities become available, we will share them with our ECS families.
