Director of Operations

JOB GOAL

To ensure access to accurate student information and data to facilitate the school’s administration, faculty, student services and state/federal reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and maintain accurate enrollment, demographics, attendance and withdrawal of students in the data management system.
  • Adhere to all directives regarding proper data codes and formats.
  • Process any associated paperwork, records, transcripts, etc.
  • Assist parents/guardians in completing and submitting all required registration materials
  • Assist the administrative team in preparing, interpreting and analyzing data.
  • Perform front-desk office duties.
  • Assist the administrative team with developing and distributing reports for faculty/administration and State Reporting of student demographics, progress and report cards, discipline, attendance, and other relevant reports as needed.
  • Assist with training and updates on student demographics, student attendance, student discipline, student scheduling, and other modules of the data management system.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama Statutes and State Board of Education regulations.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • High School diploma and two years of post-secondary college coursework in business, information technology or a related field – Three years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of college component.
  • Preferred: Experience with PowerSchool Student Information System, on the administrative and/or the teacher side.
  • Experience with data management or student information systems or database experience including querying and reporting.
  • In depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with database systems.
  • Proficient with general office applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  •  Experience entering, analyzing and utilizing data.
